Influenster: Moda Voxbox Review

My latest Voxbox from Influenster was the Moda Voxbox!  It included lots of freebies for testing purposes (as always!) and this one certainly did not disappoint.  So much awesome in one pink box!  This one had lots of health and beauty items, which were really fun to sample.  See the list, below!

Resource Spring Water

100% natural spring water, this was delicious and completely refreshing.  Great to grab on the go or enjoy at home.  It has electrolytes included, so it's perfect for refreshing with after a workout (or mid-shopping trip over the holidays!).  See my review post of this yummy water, here.

Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa

I love hot cocoa, and with the winter upon us, you'd better believe I enjoyed this right away.  It's easy to heat up in the microwave with a bit of milk, and this stuff is delicious.  No lie.  Swiss Miss makes the best cocoa!  I just love that this one is made with the simplest of ingredients - sugar, cocoa, nonfat milk, salt, and natural flavor.  That's it!

Hair Food Moisture Mask

Clairol makes the best bath/shower products, and I completely adore them for the scent combinations they come up with!  I loved the herbal essences body wash when it came out just for the smells, and this is incredible!  This Hair Food mask has honey and apricot oil to make your hair super smooth and refreshed, and it totally worked.  Can't wait to restock at Target!

Moisture Renew Lipstick

This is from Rimmel and has such a fun case!  For those of you who don't know - I love purple.  Of course, there's not purple lipstick inside, that would be crazy, but it makes it easy to find in my purse.  :)  This shade actually worked for me, which surprised me!  It is moisturizing (as advertised) and felt great.  I don't normally opt for lipstick, since I'm normally a balm/chapstick kind of girl, but I was pleasantly surprised here!

Moisture Renew Lip Liner

In line with the lipstick above, this lip liner from Rimmel goes along with the lipstick to keep colors from feathering, so you apply before the lipstick.  I have never been a fan of lip liner, but I still wanted to try this out.  It did help and worked like a charm!  Helped everything stay in place as it should.

ScandalEyes Rockin' Curves Mascara

As mentioned in a previous Voxbox review, I love mascara!  This mascara has this crazy looking wand which threw me off at first, but ended up being great!  The thick part at the bottom helps to thicken and vamp up my longer outer lashes, while the curved and shorter end made the inner lashes perfectly covered and not clumped.  Love this stuff!

Puffs Softpack Tissues

I love this new style packaging from Puffs!  The softpack concept is genius.  Boxes in my house always get crushed.  These are great for throwing in a go-bag or in the car, and they're pretty enough that I don't mind them sitting on an end table or my desk!  This is one of several fun prints that goes perfectly with my decor.  Perfect!

Influenster Product Review: Resource Water - #refreshwithresource

I was selected for another VoxBox from Influenster and was sent a whole bunch of free goodies (for testing purposes).  This one was for the Moda VoxBox, which included lots of health and beauty products!  

Included was this bottle of Resource Natural Spring Water.  It is super yummy, refreshing, and even has natural electrolytes!  I especially love that the bottle is made using 50% recycled plastic, which makes me happy that they are earth-conscious with their product.  You can even have it delivered to your home by ordering online on their website, which I thought was pretty neat!

I enjoyed my bottle of Resource water on one of my "on-the-go" days, where I had a million things to do (when is that not the case?!) and I opted for a bottle of water instead of my regular go-to - a can of soda.  Simple is better, and the basics are always best.

Influenster Review: Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons

I am a happy member of the Influenster community, and was sent the Vitality VoxBox (#vitalityvoxbox) with lots of free goodies to try out!  I wrote about all the products I received in this VoxBox in THIS BLOGPOST.  

Of those items I received, one was this full-sized box of Playtex Sport Fresh Balance tampons!  Y'all.... tampons are a necessity, and they're not super glamorous or exciting, but you know a good tampon when you've found one.  (You also know when you've found a bad tampon!  We've all been there, ladies!)

I love Playtex products.  They're reliable, dependable, and won't let you down.  While I'm not the biggest fan of scented feminine products, I can live with this because they make my purse smell nice.  Of course, these are great for staying active and not letting your period slow you down, so you're not exactly carrying a purse, right?!  I can continue my gym workouts and evening runs whenever I want, because I know I won't have any embarrassing "instances" with wearing a pad or tampon that might not hold up its side of the deal.

Influenster Review: Bikini Ready Energy Gummies #BikiniReadyLifestyle

So recently, I blogged about my Vitality VoxBox from Influenster and mentioned these fun little gummies.  I got a sample pack of these caffeine-packed energy gummies from Bikini Ready that are designed to give you a quick boost of energy in a little chewy treat covered in sugar.  Yum!  For those of us that despise taking pills, the gummy was a fun alternative. 

I noticed upon eating my sample gummies that I did get a quick zing of energy, but it was hard to tell by just trying them one time how significant of a difference it made.  Just as drinking a smoothie, eating a banana, or even listing to "Jock Jams" can jazz you up prior to a workout or activity, this seemed to be a similar reaction for me.  

I appreciated the opportunity to try this product that I may have otherwise passed over, but only wish I could have received a larger sample so I could compare over a few days!

Influenster: Vitality VoxBox Review

After checking out all the products I received (free for testing purposes) from Influenster and the lovely businesses that contributed, here's the breakdown and what I thought!

First Degree Advanced Burn Cream
I won't say that I'm excited to get my next burn, but I'm looking forward to being prepared for the next time it happens.  You can't plan for these things!  Everything I've heard about this cream is great.

Pure Leaf Iced Tea
Yummy!  I'm a true southerner and we pride ourselves on homemade sweet tea, grits, and putting butter on everything.  BUT - this is a good alternative when homemade isn't an option.  It's easy for a grab-and-go drink, and especially best served cold on a hot summer day.  We've had quite a few of those here recently!

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons

I've said it before (I received these tampons in my last VoxBox) and I'll say it again... I really like Playtex tampons and they keep me covered!  This scented version is rubbing off on me I guess since using the samples from the last go-round, but I think my overall preference is still unscented.  Overall - as far as protection goes, Playtex has got you covered.

Bikini Ready Energy Gummies
I just received a small one-serving sample of these gummies.  While I'm not a fan of taking supplements, etc. when they aren't needed, these were pretty tasty.  Not sure of the actual effect on my workout (in fact, I felt a little naughty eating "candy" before working out), but like drinking a shake or eating a banana, I guess I felt energized.

Softlips Cube lip balm

Softlips: Yum.  Mint flavor: Double yum!  I'd compare this to the flavor I love from Burt's Bees to the funky shape and novelty of EOS.  Happy medium between the two and it's super soft.  I'm not a lipstick gal, so lip balm is my go-to.  They even included a couple of $1-off coupons, so I'll have to buy a few more for myself (or stocking stuffers if I want to be good and plan ahead... haha!)  Overall - YES!

Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Caplet Serum

So this stuff is pricey, but I love a free sample.  Tried it out - it's nice.  Makes my skin feel soft and helped smooth out my complexion.  I have a minor acne issue and this seemed to help a bit.  The sample goes a long way!  Only a few pumps needed to cover my whole face.  After I finish up this sample, I'll have to see how much of a difference it makes to see if I can justify the cost (about $60 for a 1.0 fl oz product)

Influenster: Spring VoxBox Review

Okay, folks!  This a wrap on my review of the Spring VoxBox that I was sent by Influenster (thanks, guys!).  Here's one last break-down of what I thought:

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance Tampons
Playtex is always super reliable, and these tampons are no different.  I'm not crazy about scented feminine products, but happy to use them anyways.  The plus side to these being scented is my purse smells fresh and it's not too overpowering or "baby"-scented to bother me much.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retroglam Mascara
Mascara.  I love mascara!  This Retroglam mascara (in black, of course!) is easy to apply, doesn't clump, and gives me really full, thick, long lashes that I can tone down for the office and juice up with a smoky eye and thick liner for going out for a hot date or girls' night with my friends.  You can't go wrong with a great mascara!

Kiss Everlasting French Nails
While I'm not really the "manicure type" (I prefer a solid pedicure!), I still enjoy a nice-looking set of fingernails!  I like how real they look and after opening up the package, I've sized out all of my nails with the correct sizes in the kit (there are so many to choose from!).  My only delay with applying them is that I have the strangest thumbs on the planet (See this wikipedia article to see what I mean).  Both of my thumbs are short and stubby like this, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were nails in this set to fit them!  The drawback being, of course, that the nails are wayyyy too long to be proportionate.  So I'm working on filing down the base so they are shorter.  :)  I'll post later on when I've had a chance to use them!

Nivea Body Skin Firming Moisturizer
So I love lotion, and it's one of the most handy items to have in my purse or desk at work, or even in the car.  I really like the scent and it's not too overpowering!  One tiny struggle for me with this lotion is that while it goes on really nicely, it stays a little "greasy" for a little while.  If you put it on and have time to lounge around or are pampering yourself, it's great.  But if you're like me and "on-the-go" 98% of the time, you're going to have to slow down and not touch your iPhone four seconds after you apply.  The upside to that, is that it means you have to take a little more time for yourself and it's super moisturizing!

Influenster Review: Playtex Sport Fresh Balance tampons

I am a happy member of Influenster, and was sent a Spring Fling VoxBox to test out some great products.  I have really enjoyed getting to try everything out and love to share my experiences!

First to the plate are the Playtex® Sport® Fresh Balance™ tampons I received.  Since my VoxBox arrived just days after its prime opportunity for me to test these out, I still want to write about them and review, because I already know what to expect.  Playtex is one of my favorite tampon brands to use.  Their applicator is really smooth and easy to use, and the product stays put.  I never have to worry about spotting or the tampon not sitting or feeling right, and those are top priorities for me when it's that time of the month. 

My life does not revolve around having to make accommodations for my period.  It's not the boss of me!

I don't normally ever use scented tampons because they give me headaches just smelling them, and I also feel like that will draw more attention to me when it's not necessarily welcome.  However, these have a really nice, fresh scent that's not like gross baby powder or too overpowering.  Think fresh floral with a fruity undertone.  Anyways, it doesn't seem to be too strong a scent that will irritate me so I'm looking forward to trying them out!  The one time I have used scented tampons were when I had to send my husband to the store for me once (I was desperate) and he didn't know any better than to pick up the first box he saw with the right size and brand.  Of course, they were scented.  I was not thrilled and they didn't work for me, but again, they were high potency and smelled like a nursery (or nursing home).  These are different and I am pleasantly surprised!
